Doris Ann Garlow, 80, Neosho entered into rest March 13, 2018 after a short illness.
She was born June 25, 1937 in Cherokee City, AR to Earl Franklin and Retha Ann (Burress) Brown. A lifelong resident of the Granby and Neosho area, Doris worked as a restaurant manager for R & W Grill in Neosho, in nutrition for the local schools and Sale Hospital, and was a house parent for area group homes. Doris was a 26 year cancer survivor and participated in Relay for Life for many years.
Doris and Howard Calvin Garlow were married on March 24, 1972; he preceded her in death on Nov. 28, 2004. Surviving family members include six children: Jackie Ann Burr Graue and husband, Randy of Joplin, Earl (Buddy) Burr and wife, Susan of Hollister, MO, Edie Burnett and husband, James of Neosho, Stephen Garlow and wife, Janet of Lawrence, KS, Connie Brown and husband Rick, and Ginger Meinke and husband, Allen of Karney, MO; one brother, Delbert Brown and wife, Monika of Garland, TX; twelve grandchildren; and 18 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, Doris was preceded in death by one sister, Joyce Brown and two brothers, Sonny Brown and Curtis Brown.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm, Sat. March 17, 2018 at Clark Funeral Home Chapel of Memories; Pastor Jeremie Bridges will officiate, with interment following in the Belfast Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Jacob Burr, Lucas Burr, James Burnett, Rick Brown, Randy Graue, and Nehemiah Bridges. The family will receive visitors 7:00-8:00 Friday evening, March 16 at Clark Funeral Home. The family will be at the home of Edie Burnett.
