Robert “Bob” G. Trout, 87, Carthage, MO, passed away Thursday, March 8, 2018 at Mercy Hospital, Springfield, MO. Robert “Bob” Gerald Trout was born August 10, 1930 in Newton, IA to the late Jasper N. Trout and Lucretia Delores (Lamb) Trout. He graduated from Newton High School, Class of 1948. Bob served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Bob was a farmer in Carthage. He married Rae-Malee Nuhn on May 12, 1979; she survives. Bob attended the Nazarene Church in Carthage.
Survivors include his wife, three daughters, Erica Ritzema, Carthage, Christine Dimmick (husband Dan), Walnut Creek, CA, and Francis Williams (husband Paulos) High Springs, FL; one son, Mark Trout (wife Lori), Winterset, IA; one sister, Nadine Bobbit, Bullhead City, AZ; and nine grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
Visitation will be held 9:30-10:30 am, Monday, March 19, 2018 at the Nazarene Church, Carthage. Memorial services will follow at 10:30 am. Rev. Dustin Ledford will officiate. Private family inurnment will take place at a later date. Memorial gifts are suggested to Boy’s Town, Omaha, NE in care of Knell Mortuary, 308 W. Chestnut, Carthage, MO 64836.
