Shirley Jeane “Lambeth” Spry, 77, passed away March 13, 2018 at her home in Carthage, MO surrounded by her loving family. Shirley was born December 15, 1940 in Carthage to Hobart and Pauline “Matthews” Lambeth. She was a lifetime resident of Carthage, retired from Flex-O-Lators after 40 years and was a member of First Christian Church of Carthage.
Shirley was united in marriage to Jerry L. Spry on December 19, 1959 in Carthage; he survives.
Shirley is also survived by one son, Jerry Spry, Jr. (Brenda); one daughter, Terri Lynne Diggs (Tony); one sister, Carolyn Sue Trent (Bob); three grandchildren, Craig Diggs (Teri), Amy Jones (Kirk) and Carrie Burgi (Kevin); five great grandchildren, Asher, Ava, and Kael Jones, Jasper Diggs and Olivia Burgi, all of Carthage.
Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, March 16, 2018 at First Christian Church in Carthage. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, March 15, 2018 at Ulmer Funeral Home. Burial will be at Park Cemetery.
Contributions may be made to First Christian Church or Avalon Hospice in care of Ulmer Funeral Home.
