Jerrye G. Thomas, 71, Joplin, MO, passed away Monday, March 19, 2018 at her home. Jerrye Corina Gail Greek was born October 1, 1946 in Webb City, MO to the late Frank Greek and Iva (Taylor) Greek. She graduated from Carterville High School, Class of 1964. She worked as a laborer for Moark Egg, Neosho, MO. Jerrye married her husband of over 40 years, Calvin L. Thomas, on February 12, 1971 in Carterville, MO; he preceded her in death on October 26, 2004. She was Christian by faith.
Survivors include one son, Bill Thomas, Carthage, MO; one step-son, Jessie Thomas (Kim), Alba, MO; one daughter, Kellie Thomas (Lorenzo), Joplin, MO; one daughter-in-law, Hallie Huffman, Joplin, MO; one brother, Jack Taft, Webb City, MO; four sisters, Frankie Winters, Webb City, MO, Ivaleen Bullis, Carthage, MO, Karren Southard, Carterville, MO, and Harriet Witt, Carthage, MO; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and one son, Jim Huffman.
Graveside services will be held 11 am, Thursday, March 22, 2018 at Carterville Cemetery, Carterville, MO. Pastor Morris Cleveland will officiate. Online condolences may be expressed through www.knellmortuary.com. Arrangements are under the direction and personal care of Knell Mortuary, Carthage.
