Connie Sue Allgood, age 69, of Joplin, went to be with her Lord on Monday April 24, 2017, at Freeman Hospital West, following an illness.
Connie was born on October 5, 1947 in Wheaton, Mo., the daughter of the late Dolph Tracy and Virginia (Erisman) Tracy. She has been a lifelong area resident. She married John J. Allgood on August 27, 1965. Together they raised two children. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She took great joy in baseball games, shopping, rodeos, special Olympics, and going places. She especially enjoyed her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband of nearly fifty-two years, John J. Allgood; her children, Larry Allgood and wife Michelle, Joplin; Vicki Ray, Neosho, Mo.; her grandchildren, Tyler, Azalea, Ashley, and Tanner; five brother, Randy Tracy and wife Kim, Rick Tracy and wife, Lavonne, John Tracy and wife Clevia, Ron Tracy and wife Micky, and Richard Tracy and wife Shelly; two sisters, Cathy Barnett and husband David, and Cheri McPherson, special nieces, Michelle and Emily; and numerous nephews and nieces.
Funeral services will be 2:30 p.m. Thursday at Mason-Woodard Chapel. Pastor Rick Tracy will officiate. Burial will be in Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery. The pallbearers will be Brandon Tracy, Greg McPherson, Tyler Allgood, Rod Neece, Jerrod Tracy, Larry Allgood, Steve Allgood, and Randy Allgood.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Freeman Dialysis Center in care of the mortuary.
