Mable M. Gillmore was born Nov. 21, 1921 in Faye, Oklahoma, the daughter of Charles and Lizze Stuckey. She went home to be with her Lord at her home in Diamond surrounded by family, on April 10, 2017 at the age of 95.
Mable moved to the area as a child and was a lifelong area resident and a homemaker. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, embroidery and cooking for her family. She was a member of the Silver Moon Church of God Holiness. Mable and Marion Gillmore were married on Nov. 11, 1939 and he preceded her in death on March 5, 2008.
She is survived by nine children, Lena Joan Gibbens of Heavener, OK; Charlotte Tuggle and husband, Jerry of Granby; Sharon Sadowski and husband, Ken of Neosho; Mary Lankford and husband, Larry of Neosho; Robert Gillmore and wife, Judy of Neosho; Wanda Tudor and husband, Bob of Claremore, OK; Vicki Gillmore of Diamond; Debbie Jarnagin and husband, Richard of Neosho and Pastor Steve Gillmore and wife, Glenna of Neosho; 19 grandchildren; 41 great grandchildren; 31 great great grandchildren; 10 step grandchildren; 5 step great grandchildren and 3 step great great grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by 3 brothers and 1 sister.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 14, 2017 at 2:30 pm at the Clark Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, Rev. Lawrence Schoenhals and Rev. Keith Brumfield will officiate. Interment will follow in the Diamond Cemetery and granddaughters will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at a time of visitation on Thursday from 5:30 to 7 pm at the Clark Funeral Home, Neosho.
