Gaylon LeRoy Rindt was born January 13, 1938 in Joplin, Missouri, the son of George Carl and Ola Mae (Eacret) Rindt. He entered into rest on April 18, 2017 at Mercy Hospital in Joplin, at the age of 79.
Gaylon graduated from Galena High School, class of 1955. He married Laura Kimbrough August 18, 1957, she preceded him in death November 2, 2001. The following year, he married Eula Mae Kimbrough on October 26, 2002 and she survives. During his career, he had worked for Atlantic and Pacific (A and P) Tea Company for 23 years as produce manager. He enjoyed gardening and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Diamond. In addition to his wife, he is survived by four children, Karen Burton; Susan Clark and husband, Don, Randy Kimbrough and wife, Melody and James Kimbrough and wife, Tammy; eleven grandchildren and one great grandchild. He is preceded in death by his wife, Laura, his parents, four brothers and two sisters.
Services for Gaylon will be held on Friday, April 21, 2017 at 2 pm at the First Baptist Church in Diamond, Pastor Ron Crow will officiate. Interment will follow in the Diamond Cemetery and serving as pallbearers will be Randy Kimbrough, James Kimbrough, Don Clark, Jason Clark, Bill Neely, David Lee, Rob Burton and Jacob Kimbrough. Honorary pallbearers will be Elmer White, Noel Whitson, Jim Askins, Jerry Shipman, Ron Badley and Dewayne Scowden.
The family will receive friends at a time of visitation on Thursday evening from 6 to 7 pm at the Clark Funeral Home, Neosho. Contributions in memory of Gaylon may be made to the First Baptist Church of Diamond Building Fund, c/o Clark Funeral Home, PO Box 66, Neosho, Missouri 64850.
Services are under the direction of Clark Funeral Home, Neosho, MO.
