(From Simpson Funeral Home)
Lloyd George Gillman, of Webb City, went home to his Lord on Thursday, April 20, 2017 in Joplin, MO. He was 45 years old.
Lloyd was born in Independence, KS on March 2, 1972 to Butch and Sandy Gillman. He grew up and attended school from Kindergarten through High School in Coffeyville, KS. He graduated from Field Kindley High School in 1990. He earned a degree from Coffeyville Community College.
In 1993, Lloyd married the love of his life, Alexa (Fox) Gillman. They had 2 beautiful children, Darby Claire and Carter Mac. They were the light of his life. Above all, Lloyd was a Christ follower. Because he loved Jesus, he loved people. He shared his love for Jesus with as many people as he could. He worked for Roper Honda for nearly 14 years. It was obvious to all that he enjoyed what he did at Roper. He also enjoyed fishing and playing basketball with Carter, and listening to music and singing with Darby. Quality time with Alexa was one of his favorite things. Lloyd was a gifted singer and shared his talent with the community by leading worship for several years. He also gave many years of his life to youth ministry.
Lloyd is survived by his wife, Alexa, his children, Darby and Carter, all of the home. Other survivors include his sister Melissa Dimick and family, his parents, Butch and Sandy, his brother-in-law Scott Fox and family, his father and mother-in-law, Lex and Alishia Fox, as well as aunts, uncles, cousins, and too many friends to count.
A celebration of life service will be held at Christ's Church of Oronogo on Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at 6:00 PM with Adam Scutti officiating.
Memorial donations can be made to a scholarship fund for his children at Southwest Missouri Bank. Condolences may be left in Simpson Funeral Home's online guest book at simpsonfh.com. Services are under the direction of Simpson Funeral Home in Webb City.
