Dale M. Garrett, age 79 of Joplin, passed away at his home on Wednesday, April 5, 2017.
Dale was born February 13, 1938 in Baxter Springs, Kansas to the late Roy Garrett and Pearl Barr Garrett. Dale enjoyed his retirement with the 56 Boys of Baxter Springs and M.O.A.C.A. group of Joplin.
On January 15, 1982, Dale married Sylvia Flowers in Miami, Oklahoma, she survives of the home in Joplin.
Additional survivors include sons, Alan Garrett and wife, Anita of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, Jeff Flowers and wife, Susan of Joplin; daughter, Terry Padley and husband, Steve of Miami, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Sarah Flowers, Jake Flowers, Krystal Medina and husband, Alex, Rachael Bookout and husband, Josh; brothers, Steve Garrett and wife, Alberta of Las Animas, Colorado, Curt Garrett of Joplin; God-daughters, Courtney Becker and husband, Jim and Cass Bray and husband, Greg, both of Springfield, Missouri; nieces, nephews and extended family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Independent Living Center of Joplin, in care of the mortuary.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary and a private gathering will be held at a later date.
