Richard I. Tink, 97, Neosho, entered into rest on July 4, 2017 at Medicalodge in Neosho, following a two month illness.
Richard was born June 5, 1920 in Granby, the son of Ben and Blanche (Repass) Tink. He was a lifelong area resident and a high school business teacher, teaching in Granby and Neosho Public Schools and retired in 1988 from Neosho Public School System. He was a member of the Hillcrest Church of Christ.
Richard married Velma Pryor Harris in 1975 and she preceded him in death in 2001. He is survived by his extended family, Vicki Harris and her family, Jennifer Jones and husband, Caleb and their three children; Richard Harris; one niece, Kryss Anne Tink of Austin, TX and a nephew, Steve Tink of Austin, TX. In addition to his wife and parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers, Gene and John Tink and stepson, Michael Harris.
Funeral services for Mr. Tink will be held on Saturday, July 8, 2017 at 10 am at the Clark Funeral Home Chapel in Neosho, Caleb Jones will officiate. Interment will follow in the Granby Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends at a time of visitation Saturday morning from 9 am until service time at the funeral home.
