(From Parker Mortuary)Patricia Anne (Loving) Pim, 91, of Enid, Oklahoma passed away November 25, 2020 with her loving son at her bedside.
Patty was born October 8, 1929 in Wendell, Idaho to the union of the late Ira and Clora (Gibson) Loving. She graduated from Hereford High School in Hereford, Texas.
In 1952, Patty was united in marriage with Captain (Ret.) Harley W. Pim of Joplin, Missouri and together they had one son, Tracy James.
Patty was the retired Executive Director of the American Red Cross in Garfield County. While serving she developed, organized and implemented the first ever mobile meals in Enid. This program ensured senior citizens and low-income families of Enid received a hot meal every day. She was always a pillar in fundraising events for local churches and art groups. Patty started the First United Methodist Women “Set the Table Luncheon.” She chaired that event for over 20 years and raised thousands of dollars for missions. Patty also served as treasurer for the United Methodist Women for many years. With a love of music, Patty also served as President of the Women’s Auxiliary for the Enid Symphony. She was a wonderful mother, a compassionate and independent leader in her community, and she will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
In addition to her parents, Patty was preceded in death by her brothers, Clyde in 1932 and James in 1993; her husband, Harley, in 1987; and a grandson, Tyler Pim, in 2016.
Patty’s son, Tracy James Pim, and his wife, Heidi; twin grandchildren, James and Jessica; as well as a host of nieces, nephews and friends survive.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, December 3, 2020 in the chapel of Parker Mortuary with Chaplain Don Burris officiating. Burial will follow at Sterling Cemetery. Those honoring her life by serving as pallbearers are Tracy Pim, Derik Campbell, Larry Pim, and Michael Pim from Joplin and Chris Markes from Enid, Oklahoma. Honorary pallbearer is Trevor Campbell.
