(From Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home)Debra Jo Gass, 70, of Verona, Missouri was called to her Heavenly home on Sunday February 22, 2026 while at Granby House in Granby, Missouri. She was born on December 26, 1955 in Springfield, Missouri; the daughter of the late Howard and Mary (Baker) Thornton. She was united in marriage in 1976 in Greenfield, Missouri to Bobby Lee Gass; he survives.
She was a homemaker and of Baptist Faith.
Debra is survived by her husband Bobby Lee; five daughters: Dale Ann Ester of Springfield, Missouri, Lesa Kay Gass of Monett, Missouri, Tammy Lee Stewart of Springfield, Missouri, Bobbie Jo Herrera of Verona, Missouri, and Donna Fay Stacye of Springfield, Missouri; twelve grandchildren; three great-grandchildren, and one great-grandchild on the way.
She was preceded in death by her parents Howard and Mary and three grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life is being held for Debra on Saturday March 7, 2026 from 4:00p.m. to 6:00p.m. at the Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home in Monett, Missouri.
