(From McQueen Funeral Home)Mahlon Dennis Huston, age 84, of Rocky Comfort, Missouri passed away Wednesday, February 18, 2026.
He was born September 8, 1941 in Wyman, Iowa the son of Harold Leslie and Helen (See) Huston. On July 24, 1976 in Rocky Comfort he was united in marriage to Marge Ellison, who preceded him in death. Also preceding him in death were his parents; son, Christopher Huston and brothers, Melvin Huston and Gary Huston.
Surviving are his sons, Ned Huston and wife Gayla of Goodman, Missouri and Billy McCully and wife Janice of Stella, Missouri; daughters, Christie Bowers and partner Randy Sattler of Iowa and Cathy Canfield and husband Steve of Springdale, Arkansas; brother, Kirk Huston and wife Michelle of Pella, Iowa; ten grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren with one on the way and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mahlon attended school in Winfield, Iowa, graduating from Winfield High School. In 1977, he made Rocky Comfort his home after moving from Iowa. Mahlon truly loved life on the road. He owned and operated Huston and Sons Trucking for many years before retiring, taking great pride in his work. He also enjoyed raising cattle and hogs and had a natural talent for mechanical work.

Above all else, Mahlon cherished his family — especially his grandchildren, who brought him endless joy. He was a member of Living Word Mission Church in Simco. Mahlon will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Monday, February 23, 2026 at Rocky Comfort Cemetery in Rocky Comfort, Missouri, under direction of McQueen Funeral Home in Wheaton. Reverend Billy Joe Gentry will conduct the services.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00 P.M. Sunday at McQueen Funeral Home in Wheaton.
