(From Hedge-Lewis-Goodwin Funeral Home)dIda Mae Reed (formerly of Carl Junction, MO) passed away on February 21, 2026 in Rolla MO at Rosewood Residential.
Ida Mae was an avid bingo player twice a week at Rolla Senior Apartments. She also enjoyed crocheting rugs and many other items for her friends there. Her cat Mina was a constant companion.
Ida Mae was currently living in Rolla, MO near friends and had been since December of 2022.
Ida Mae was a military spouse for many years living in several states and in Germany. She once held a job with PanAmerican Airlines in Frankfurt Germany. She was a former employee of WalMart in Joplin, MO where she worked for many years as a jewelry clerk. She had many friends there and enjoyed helping customers choose just that right gift for a loved one. Recently Ida Mae had her family tree researched and it thrilled her to know she was a 4th cousin to Elvis Presley on her mothers side of the family.
Ida Mae was born to Guy Lee Langworthy and Mamie Christine Balcom in Lincoln, Arkansas on December 14, 1946. They lived there until 1960 then moved to Stillwell, OK where Ida Mae attended middle school to her graduation at Stillwell High School.
Ida Mae is preceded in death by the LOVE of her LIFE Thomas E Reed, daughter Melissa Lynn Reed and her parents. Ida Mae will be missed by friends & family Susan Dyl of Rolla, MO, Tammy Oesch of Pacific, MO, Diane of Baxter Springs, Chris & Bobby Little of Joplin, MO and her sister in Law Dorothy Reed and daughter Gretchen & son Steven of Webb City, MO plus many others who knew and loved her.
Service will be at Hedge-Lewis-Goodwin Funeral Home in Webb City on Friday February 27th at 1pm.
