Marcia Foster

Marcia Faye Foster, age 77, of Joplin, MO passed away on Friday, February 20, 2026 at her son’s home under the care of Good Shepherd Hospice in Granby, MO.

Marcia was born on May 1, 1948 in Joplin, MO to the late union of Orland and Margaret (Artinger) Gust. She grew up in the Joplin area and attended Joplin Public Schools. Marcia married James Foster in 1966 and he preceded her in January of 2020. She enjoyed camping with her children, gardening in her yard, and sewing in her spare time. She was a member of the Jehovah’s Witnesses Joplin East Congregation since 1973. She loved her four dogs, Buster, Baby, Nigel and Mr. Brown. Those who knew Marcia will remember her as the epitome of friendliness and love. Her faith-filled life was an inspiration, showing by example how to live with grace and compassion.

In addition to her parents, Marcia was preceded in death by her daughter, Kimberly Spicer.

Marcia is survived by her son, John Foster, of Granby, MO; one grandson, Dylan Spicer and wife, Katie, of Portland, OR; and one great-grandson, Viktor Spicer, of Portland, OR.

Cremation arrangements are under the special care and direction of Parker Mortuary.
