(From Clark Funeral Home)Reta Faye Liles, of Neosho, Missouri, passed away on February 22, 2026, at Aspire Nursing Home in Joplin, Missouri. She was born on February 23, 1959, in Kansas City, Kansas, to Fred Robert Hopkins and Lorine (Curtis) Hopkins.
Reta graduated from Turner High School in Kansas City, Kansas. She earned her GED and became a certified medical technician. In 1998, she married her husband Rick Liles, who survives her.
Reta was a gifted and passionate artist. She would often gather rocks and transform them into hand-painted treasures that she sold at craft shows. Working primarily with acrylics, she painted everything from mountain ranges to cats. Aside from painting, Reta was also a talented potter and gardener. She enjoyed planting and tending to both perennial and annual bulbs and flowers.
In addition to her husband, Rick, she is survived by her children, Dalton Lile, John Johnson, and Dennis Ward; her three grandsons, Drake Split, Euriah Johnson, and Ryan Ward; her siblings, Jack Hopkins, Mark Hopkins, Rhonda Crafton and her husband Bill, and Chrissy Parker; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, Rick, she is survived by her children, Dalton Lile, John Johnson, and Dennis Ward; her three grandsons, Drake Split, Euriah Johnson, and Ryan Ward; her siblings, Jack Hopkins, Mark Hopkins, Rhonda Crafton and her husband Bill, and Chrissy Parker; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Lorine Hopkins; her brother, Dale Hopkins; and her infant brother, Donald Hopkins.
Reta has been cremated, and no services are scheduled at this time.
