Wayne O'Neal

Wayne Edwin O’Neal, nearly 82, of Hornet, MO, passed into eternal rest March 8, 2018 at his home surrounded by his family after a long illness. Devotion to his family and his firm belief in God supported him in his struggle and ultimately gave him peace.

Wayne was born March 9, 1936 in Aurora, MO the son of Ralph Edwin and Cornelia Marie (Hutchison) O’Neal. He was a graduate of Aurora High school and lived in the southwest MO area all of his life. 
 
Wayne E. O’Neal married Shirley June Parks October 16, 1955 and was blessed with a large and loving family. Wayne helped raise his five daughters with patience and humility. He appreciated more than anyone the beauty of nature.

Wayne was a carpenter, a craftsman. He was a kind and soft-spoken philosopher, rich in faith. He was a strong father figure to many. He is dearly missed by his loved ones, who celebrate the fact that he is at peace with his creator and reunited with his wife and eldest daughter and a number of those who have gone on before him.

Wayne is survived by his daughters Karen Williams, Gayle O’Neal, Michelle Priddle and Misty Jackson; his grandchildren Devon Stoner, Brandon Shockley, Matthew Shockley, Keith Shockley, Wayne Kmick, Aaron Kmick, Candace Kmick, Shawn Castor, Atticus “AJ” Jackson and Katie Jackson; a host of great-grandchildren; and his sister, Betty Oakley and his brother-in-law Fred Parks . He is preceded in death by his wife, Shirley; his daughter, Sherry Stoner; his sister, Velta O’Neal; his brother, Kenneth O’Neal; his parents; and his beloved grandad, M.F. Fletcher.

The family will receive friends from 2:00-3:00pm, Sunday, March 11, 2018 at the Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home, Seneca. 
 
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Monday, March 12, 2018 at Warren’s Branch Baptist Church, with graveside services at the Hornet Cemetery under the direction of Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home.
