Barbara Louise Manning, age 74, Webb City, passed away on Thursday, May 22, 2014 at her home.
Barbara was born October 5, 1939 in Neosho, Missouri, daughter of the late Melvin and Katherine Duffield Haslip. She graduated from Commerce High School in Commerce, Oklahoma, and spent her life taking care of her family. She was a member of Frisco Church in Webb City. Barbara was a very loving person who devoted much time and energy organizing fund raisers for local charities, and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by two brothers, Irley Haslip and Greg Haslip.
She married J.C. Manning on June 18, 1960 in Joplin, he survives at the home. Additional survivors include her three sons, Terry Manning and wife Peggy of Webb City, Marty Manning and wife Lisa also of Webb City, and Darren Manning of Joplin; sisters, Twyla Hunley and Sharon Crow both of Joplin; 10 grandchildren, Maddie, Zach, Ryan, Christian, Deagan, Destiny, Tisha, Justin, D.J., and Kenzie; seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. in Parker Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Larry DeGonia officiating. Interment will follow in Hazel Green Cemetery, Boulder City, Missouri with family serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends at Parker Mortuary on Monday from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m.
