Joyce “Mimi” Bollinger, age 69, of Joplin, passed away Saturday, May 10, 2014.
She was born to the late Rev. Lester Nutting and Martha Nutting in Iantha, Missouri on September 4, 1944. She was a woman of many talents. Whether it was playing the piano by ear at the age of four, writing gospel songs, or singing with her brother and sister in the Nutting Family Trio, Joyce’s abilities touched lives daily. Everyone that knew her became family. Joyce could whip up a ten course meal in five minutes and you better believe you were going to eat it whether you were hungry or not. Joyce’s main goal in life was to win souls to the Lord. Her generosity was second to none and her one in a million personality, youthful spirit, and loving heart will be greatly missed.
Joyce is survived by her husband, Bernard L. Bollinger, of the home; children, Deborah Roberts of Columbus, KS, Darlena Finske of Sarcoxie, MO, Tammy Jaeger of Riverton, KS and Chasidy Reynolds of Carl Junction; grandchildren, Mindy Pinnegar, Michele Bergen, Kaitlin Jaeger, Nick Ford and Kinzie Jaeger and 6 great grandchildren; brother, Robert Nutting of Joplin, MO and sister, Mary Robinson of Riverton, KS. Joyce was a homemaker and attended Christ Church of Oronogo.
