Kimberly Ann Spicer, age 48 of Joplin, passed away at 1:10 a.m. on Wednesday, May 7, 2014 at Seneca House after a long illness.
Born April 25, 1966 in Joplin, she was a lifelong Joplin resident. Kim was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses of Joplin’s East Congregation. She began her career with Freeman Hospital as a unit secretary and later, a staffing coordinator, retiring due to ill health with over 20 years of service. She also enjoyed cross stitching and crocheting.
Survivors include her daughter, Shawndra Brasier-Tessman and husband Jason of Baxter Springs, KS; her son, Dylan Spicer of Joplin and fiancée Katie Peterson of Minneapolis, MN; her parents, James and Marcia Gust Foster of Joplin; her brother, John Foster of Granby, MO; three grandchildren, Kaden, Maekenzee and Jackson Brasier, all of Baxter Springs; and paternal grandmother, Norma Foster of Seneca.
She was preceded in death by paternal grandfather, John Foster; great uncle and aunt, Claude and Tavy Waters.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary. Memorial services will be held 3:00 p.m. Saturday at Parker Chapel. Private interment will be in Osborne Memorial Cemetery.
