Louise Bushnell

Agnes “Louise” Bushnell, age 85, of Carl Junction, Mo. passed away at 2:15 a.m. Thursday, May 15, 2014 at Mercy Hospital Joplin.

 Louise was born January 21, 1929 in Lewis, Kansas. She attended St. Nicholas Grade School in Kinsley, Kansas, High School in Windhorst, Kansas, and Newman College in Wichita, Kansas. She lived in Parsons, Kansas for 27 years, and had lived in Carl Junction, Mo. for the last 26 years. Louise was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Webb City, Mo. and was a former member of the St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Parsons, Kansas. She served as Past President of the St. Mary’s Altar Society, and was a member of the Sacred Heart Altar Society. She enjoyed bowling and dancing. Her faith and her family were very important to her.

 Louise married Michael L. Bushnell October 18, 1952 in Dodge City, Kansas and he survives. Additional survivors include three sons, Patrick Mead and wife Tonja, Mooreland, Okla., Michael Bushnell Jr., Parsons, Ks., and Mitchell Bushnell and wife Pamela, Chanute, Ks., three daughters, Michelle Baldwin and husband Randy, Burlington, Ks. Christina Jameson and husband Ron, West Mineral, Ks. and Renee Pace and husband Mike, Pittsburg, Ks., 18 grandchildren, and 18 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 2 brothers, and 4 sisters.

 Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Webb City with Father Rahab Isidor as Celebrant. Rosary service will be at 4 p.m. Sunday at the Mason-Woodard Chapel with visitation to follow. Interment of ashes will be at a later date at the Oakwood Cemetery in Parsons, Kansas. Memorial contributions are requested to the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Webb City in care of the Mortuary. 

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Mason-Woodard Mortuary of Joplin, Mo.
