Gerald D. Howard age 63 of Joplin passed away on Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at Freeman West Hospital in Joplin.
He was born on June 19, 1950 in Joplin, Missouri to R. Warren Howard and Betty Mitchell Howard. Gerald was a salesman in the lumber business for many years, a Kansas City Chiefs fan, and adored all of his grandchildren.
He married Teddy Evans on January 30, 1970 in Carterville, Missouri and she survives at the home. Gerald is also survived by his mother, Betty Howard of Joplin; sons, Shelby Howard and wife Lindsey of Joplin, Stacy Howard and wife Alanna of Joplin, Shawn Howard of Joplin; grandchildren, Jodie Howard, Aleah Howard, Carlie Howard, Brodie Howard, Dalton Howard; brother, Harold Howard of Wilson, Oklahoma.
He has been taken for cremation. The family will have a private celebration of his life at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Simpson Funeral Home in Webb City. Visitwww.simpsonfh.com for online condolences.
