Dorothy J. Tandy age 74 passed away on Wednesday, May 14, 2014, at National Health Care in Joplin.
She was born on February 16, 1940, in Webb City to Donald (Don) E. Clemons and Ethel M. Barnes Clemons. She is a member of the Christ’s Church of Oronogo and a past member of the Webb City Christian Church. Dorothy worked at Elders Factory, Big Smith Factory and for Motorola in production.
She married William (Bill) A. Tandy on February 3, 1955, in Miami, Oklahoma and he survives. Dorothy is also survived by her son, Billy G. Tandy and wife Marilyn of Joplin; daughters, Cindy M. Hollingshead and husband Dan of Joplin, Connie Parmenter and husband Korde of St. Roberts, MO; son, Marty A. Tandy of Diamond; sister, Shirley Steverson of Webb City; brothers, Clarence (Eddie) Clemons and wife Connie of Prosperity, Donald Paul Clemons and wife Bessie of Prosperity, David L. Clemons and wife Judy of Chelsea, OK, Phillip E. Clemons and wife Jennifer of Broken Arrow, OK; 12 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brother, Leonard E. Clemons.
Funeral services will be held on Monday; May 19, 2014, at 10:00 AM in the chapel of Simpson Funeral Home in Webb City with Minister Ralph Shead officiating. A visitation will be held on Sunday from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be in Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery in Joplin.
