Bobby L. Huffman, age 74, Carthage, passed away at 8:02 a.m. Wednesday, May 21, 2014 at his residence from a sudden illness.
Bobby was born January 27, 1940 in Joplin to the late Robert O. Huffman and Pansy G. Tyndall Huffman and had lived in the Joplin area all of his life.
Bobby worked at Allgeier-Martin and Associates for 40 years and retired as an electrical engineer. He then worked part time at Cakes By Diane in Diamond for several years.
Bobby attended the Missouri School for the Deaf, Fulton and was a faithful member of Crossroad Baptist Church, Carthage.
His family meant the world to him and he will be missed dearly.
He married Joan M. Black on November 22, 1963 in Joplin. She survives at the home.
Additional survivors include his children, Angela Turnbeaugh, Oronogo, Tina Webb, Webb City, B.J. Huffman, Mason City, Iowa; siblings, Shirley Mailes, Joplin, Joann Laney, Gardner, Kansas, Ronald Huffman, California, Frank Huffman, Joplin; grandchildren, Kandis Elkins, Krista Moser, Kayte Cutler, Lacey Malcom, Lexi Webb, Libby Webb, Rowdy Webb, Ali Richardson, Jordan Richardson, Jade Richardson and one on the way, Baby Carriger; and great grandchildren, Braxdon Elkins, Brynleigh Elkins, Taegyn Malcom and Kason Moser.
Services are planned for Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. at Crossroad Baptist Church, Carthage. Rev. Bob Morgan will officiate. Interment will follow at Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Joshua Elkins, John Moser, Kyle Cutler, Matthew Ott, Jason Parker and Donny Elkins. Honorary pallbearer will be Don Gould. The family will receive friends Monday from 6-7:00 p.m. at Parker Mortuary.
