(From Fohn Funeral Home)Bobby Joe Chadd, age 87, of Exeter, Missouri, passed away Saturday, November 7, 2020 at his home.
He was born September 28, 1933 in Washburn, Missouri the son of Troy and Marie (Elgin) Chadd.
On December 9, 1982 in Miami, Oklahoma he was united in marriage to Betty Jo Dummitt who preceded him in death on October 28, 2013. Also preceding him in death were his parents; three brothers, Clifford, Donnie and Howard Chadd; one sister, Betty Hall and two children, Bobby Pinkley and Becky Pinkley.
Surviving are two sons, Greg Chadd and his wife Cindy of Cassville, Missouri and Vince Pinkley and his wife Dora of Verona, Missouri; five grandchildren, Drew Chadd, Taylor Chadd and Jennifer O’Neill and her husband Jake all of Cassville, Missouri; David Newman and his wife Becky of Omaha, Nebraska and Justin Pinkley of Ozark, Missouri and seven great grandchildren.
Bobby grew up and received his education at Washburn. For a few years he worked picking strawberries and hauling hay then moved to Wichita, Kansas and worked at Boeing for a short time. After moving back to Barry County, he began working at the Garment Factory and became manager. He worked there a total of forty-seven years in Monett, Pierce City, Branson and Neosho. He was a member of Corinth Baptist Church and the Missouri Angus Cattleman’s Association. He enjoyed people.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, November 13, 2020 at Washburn Prairie Cemetery in Washburn under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Pastor Donnie Spears will conduct the services.
Friends may pay their respects from 8:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. Friday at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville.
Contributions may be made to Corinth Baptist Church in memory of Bobby.
