(From Mason-Woodard Mortuary)Betty Boyd aka Betty Sprenkle, age 90 Gower, Missouri formerly of Carl Junction, Missouri passed away Saturday November 14, 2020 following a decline in health.
She was born March 11, 1930 in Elmo, Missouri to Mallory and Chloa (Banks) Moore.
Betty lived most of her life in the Joplin, Missouri area. She graduated from Lamar High School. She retired from Sears. She was a Lady Elk and enjoyed playing cards at the Senior Center. She loved attending the grand and great grand children’s activities.
She is survived by one son, James Sprenkle and wife Tonya, Joplin, Missouri; brother, Floyd Moore, Lamar, Missouri; granddaughter, Jennifer McCray and husband Seth, Gower, Missouri; grandson Travis Sprenkle, Carthage, Missouri; adopted granddaughter, Leah Gurley and husband Nathan, Moberly, Missouri; and six great grandsons, Colton, Haden, Jonathan, Lake, Devin and Ethan.
Betty was preceded in death by husband James Sprenkle, and later John Boyd; sons, David, and John Sprenkle, brothers, Don, and Wayne Moore; sister, Mary Davis; and stepsons John, and Tommy Boyd.
Graveside services will be 2:00 pm Thursday at the Carl Junction Cemetery with Betty’s step-grandson, Pastor John Boyd officiating.
