Patricia Bartlett

Patricia Carol Bartlett, age 89, of Duenweg, Missouri passed at home on Thursday November 19, 2020 surrounded by family.

Patricia was born March 12, 1931 in Webster, Kansas to the late Alan Garringer and Amy (Livingston) Garringer. Patricia grew up and attended school in Webster, Kansas before moving to the Joplin area in 1975.

Patricia had a caregiver’s heart and worked for many years as a CNA and cook for several local nursing homes. Looking after the well-being of others was one of her greatest joys in life. It was more than just her profession, and everybody loved this about her. Outside of taking care of others, Patricia’s other passions included cooking and watching baseball especially her beloved Kansas City Royals. She cherished the special memories created with family and the time spent with them. Patricia will be missed by all who knew and loved her.








Patricia was united in marriage to the love of her life Donald G. Bartlett on September 16, 1953 in Bethany, Missouri. He preceded her in death on August 3, 1988.

In addition to her parents and husband, Patricia was preceded in death by two sons, David Lynn Bartlett, and Michael Allen Bartlett; and one grandson Shannon Ray.

Survivors include her children, Barbara J. Joe and husband, Kenny of Joplin, Missouri, Douglas L. Bartlett and wife, Connie of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Bradley Gene Bartlett of Minneapolis, Kansas, Kimberly Rene Burdge and husband, Dean of Joplin, Missouri, Patricia Dawn Riley and husband, Ronnie of Joplin, Missouri; grandchildren, Joshua and wife Nikki, Aaron and wife Jessica, Taylor and husband Tyler, Jody Lynn, Jeremiah James, Amanda Rae, Dustin Michael, Hailey Michelle and boyfriend James, Jennifer Kayleen and husband Clint, James Ryan and wife Audry, Whitney Rene and husband Chris, Lindsay Nichole, and Logan Eugene; 11 great grandchildren; 20 great-great grandchildren; as well as extended family and friends.

The family would like to acknowledge and express their deepest gratitude to Kimberly for taking such good care of their Mom over the years. They all know she very much appreciated it.

Graveside services are to be held at Mount Hope Cemetery in Joplin, Missouri at a later date.

Cremation arrangements are under the care and direction of Parker Mortuary.
