Catherine Elizabeth Dampier, 60, of Joplin, Missouri, passed away Thursday, November 19, 2020, at her residence.
Cathy was born September 17, 1960, in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Denny and Billie Anne Delmore Dampier, who both preceded her in death. Cathy grew up in Joplin but lived most of her life in Seattle, Washington, before recently returning to Joplin.
Cathy was very artistic; she loved working with clay, making jewelry, drawing and coloring. She loved to read, was an avid Harry Potter fan, and very proud to be a member of Ravenclaw house. She was a fun-loving free spirit; she loved spending time with friends and family. Cathy will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Cathy worked for over thirty years as an apartment manager in Seattle, Washington. She was active in her local community and played a pivotal role in securing historical protection for the Malloy apartment building she managed, later retiring to Concrete, Washington.
Cathy married Jack Hadley on January 6, 1989, in Miami, Oklahoma, who also preceded her in death on October 28, 2018.
Catherine is survived by her sister, Rebecca Adams and husband, Steve; brothers, Robert Dampier, Reggie Dampier and Joel Link; good friends, Alvin, Adrianna, Pam and especially Linda Gardner; in-laws and special friends, Jim and Jo Hadley and Staci; nephews Ryan Sweet, Ross Adams; nieces, Morgan Sweet, Carly Adams; well as great nieces, nephews and extended family.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
Cremation arrangements are under the personal care and direction of Parker Mortuary, Joplin, Missouri.
