(From Ferry Funeral Home)Dustin Lee Conner, 48, Nevada, MO, passed away on Saturday, November 28, 2020 at Nevada Regional Medical Center surrounded by his family.
Dustin was born on December 29, 1971 in Barton County Memorial Hospital in Lamar Missouri to Donnie and Roberta (Banes) Conner of Sheldon, Missouri.
Dustin grew up in Sheldon, Missouri and was a member of the Sheldon Methodist church. He graduated from Sheldon High School in 1990. During his athletic career there he was a standout athlete in basketball, baseball and track. After high school he attended Missouri Southern State University. He went on to work at Crane Plumbing for fourteen years.
He began his career at ADM in Deerfield, in 2007 as Material Handler and quickly moved up to Superintendent over Load-out and Crush/Extraction and currently held the position of Performance Excellence Practitioner out of Decatur, IL.
He married the love of his life Lori on March 17, 2001. He spent the last twenty-two years of his life spending time with his wife, and his seven children. Dustin loved making big meals for his family, playing with his grandchildren, golfing, Chiefs football, Royals baseball, and playing Kingsfield.
Dustin is survived by his wife, Lori of almost 20 years; four daughters, Jordan Fasano (Mathew) Carthage, MO; Hailey Bunton (Brian) Joplin, MO; Erica Whitesell (Ace) Filley, MO; Courtney Cooper (Tyler) El Dorado Springs, MO; three sons, Robbie McCartney (Chelsey) Nevada, MO; Jacob McCartney (Amber) Oronogo, MO; and Alex Conner of the home. Seven grandchildren Reece (6), Mason (2), Charlotte (1), Aleah (5), Ava (3 months), Deric (1), Bentlii (3); his mother Roberta Bigelow, Sheldon, MO; two siblings Douglas Conner (Cindy), Liberty, MO; Angela Blixt (David) Harrisonville, MO; three step-siblings Rebecca Jones Lamar, MO; Christy Love Nevada, MO; Ginger Beerbower Fort Scott, KS; parents in law, Terry and Kathy Fleener, Bronaugh, MO; sister in law, Keri Yount (Korey) Bronaugh, MO; brother in law Jason Fleener (Pam),, Moundville, MO; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Donnie Conner, and stepfather, Donald Bigelow.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, December 2, 2020 at Ferry Funeral Home in Nevada with Brian Bunton officiating. Interment will follow in Sheldon Cemetery, Sheldon, MO. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 p.m. on Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
