(From Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home)John R. Hoffman, 87, Seneca, MO, passed into eternal rest November 24, 2020 at his home in rural Seneca after a long illness.
John R. Hoffman was born September 26, 1933 in Albion, IN the son of Forrest and Lucille (Jaquay) Hoffman. John had lived in the area all his life. John served in the US Air Force from 1952-1956. He worked at the former BF Goodrich plant in Miami, OK, the former Rocketdyne Plant in Neosho, MO and retired after 27 years from the former Milnot plant in Seneca, MO. John loved to hunt, fish, to cut wood, be outdoors, wood working and spending time with his family and friends. John was a faithful member of the Seneca Church of Christ.
John R. Hoffman married Marie Lankford December 31, 1955 in Miami, OK and she survives.
Additional survivors include one daughter, Linda Hudson and husband Dennis, Seneca; grandchildren; Jimmy Hudson, Zac Hudson, Jason Hudson and Kristin Hudson all from OK; 6 great-grandchildren; siblings Beth Russell, Kansas City, MO, Bob Hoffman and wife Carolyn, Mt Pleasant, MI, Alice McChesney, state of Indiana and Art Hoffman, Seneca, MO and a host of extended family, church family and friends.
John was preceded in death by his father and mother Forrest and Lucille Hoffman; one daughter, Charlotte Hudson; two brothers, Allan Hoffman and Forrest Wayne Hoffman.
The body has been taken for cremation under the direction of Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home, Seneca. A Celebration of Life Memorial Graveside service will be held at 10:00 am, November 28, 2020 at the Swars Prairie Church of Christ Cemetery with Jake King and Bob Hampton officiating.
