(From Simpson Funeral Home)Herbert Maxwell Sheffield Sr. was born to Louie Heston and Jennie Lee (Search) Sheffield on August 13, 1926 in Lubbock Texas. Herbert had 4 brothers and one sister: Ralph, Robert (Bob), Roy, Louie Jr. and Betty.
Herbert married Carlene Slavens on June 12, 1948. They had 3 children, Jennifer Sheffield Randall, Carla Sheffield Larkin and Herbert Maxwell (Max) Sheffield Jr.
They were blessed with 5 awesome grandsons, Mitch Randall, Ken Larkin, Tyler Randall, Levi Larkin, Ryan Sheffield and one beautiful granddaughter, Carly Sheffield. Their grandchildren gave them 14 great grandchildren and one great, great grandson.
Herbert was never happier than when he was with his family. His family was his life.We will miss our dad and grandad but are left with a legacy of laughs, love and sweet memories.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, November 24, 2020 at Carl Junction Cemetery.
