(From Parker Mortuary)Riley Osker Brown, age 87, Carl Junction, passed away on Saturday, November 7, 2020 at Mercy of Joplin.
Riley was born September 17, 1933 in Carl Junction, son of the late Tom Brown and Edna Currier Brown. He attended Carl Junction Schools, and worked for over 37 years with Missouri Steel Casting as a sand mill operator, and also in Silicon Casting. He was a member of the Servant's Church of Webb City.
In addition to his parents, Riley was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Riddle Brown, a brother, Neil Brown, sisters, Betty Budd, Ella Mae Felkins, Marie Powers.
Survivors include his children, Susan Yeager of Carterville, Missouri, Janet DeGonia of Carl Junction, Richard Brown of Carl Junction, and Steven P. Brown of Webb City; sisters, Eva Jean Piquonot of Kansas, and Molly Ann Howe of California; 9 grandchildren, and 19 great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be Wednesday, November 11, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. in Webb City Cemetery with Pastor Chad DeGonia officiating.
The family will receive friends at Thornhill-Dillon Mortuary on Tuesday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.
Serving as pallbearers will be Justin DeGonia, Dustin Lamb, Connor Lamb, Bob McDaniel, Jason Riddle, and Doug Whitely.
