(From Brenner Mortuary)Billy Joe Feagins, 89, of Pittsburg, KS, passed away on July 03, 2023, at Pittsburg, Kansas.
Billy was born on November 16, 1933, to Levi Perry and Laura Lilly (Love) Feagins in Fort Scott, KS. He graduated from Fort Scott High School.
He was united in marriage to Norma (Leonard) Simons on September 9, 1990, in Fort Scott, KS. She survives of the home.
Mr. Feagins was a salesman and delivery driver for O.E Woods Lumber, Comstock Lumber, Herman's Lumber, and Fort Scott Lumber Company. He was also a very skilled carpenter. He lived in Pittsburg, KS for the last 30 years and before that he lived in Fort Scott. He was a member of The Pittsburg Model Railroad Club and Lighthouse Tabernacle.
He is survived by his wife Norma Feagins of Pittsburg, KS; seven children, Wanda Ogle (Dale) of Fort Scott, KS, Margaret Spencer of Webb City, MO, Ruth Hawkins of Fort Scott, KS, Karen Bley (Randy)of Deerfield, MO, Randy Feagins of Garland, KS, Michelle Cunningham (Mike) of Leavenworth, KS, and Michael Feagins (Kim) of Fort Scott, KS; two siblings, L. D. Feagins (Cynthia) of Redfield, KS, Anna Tebbets of Fort Scott, KS; 17 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, 4 step children, 6 step grandchildren, and 5 step great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Alta Jane Norman and Betty Brooks.
Funeral services will be on Monday July 10, 2023, at 1:30 PM at Brenner Mortuary with Pastor Jeff Feagins officiating. A Visitation will be held on Sunday July 9, 2023, from 4:30 to 6:00PM. Burial will follow at the Maple Grove Cemetery, Fort Scott, KS. Memorial donations can be made to help with final expenses. Arrangements are under the direction of the Brenner Mortuary, 114 E. 4th St., Pittsburg, KS.
