Carolyn Thomas

Carolyn Sue Thomas, 86, of Noel, Missouri, went home to join our Lord Jesus and other beloved family members in Heaven on Monday, July 10, 2023.

She was born in Ellington, Missouri, on April 1, 1937, to Ollie Dell Givens and Willard Rayfield. Her formative years were spent in Kansas City, Missouri.

She married Jim Thomas in 1953 and in 1962, they moved to Noel, Missouri. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Noel. She enjoyed quilting, sewing and gardening. When someone needed a babysitter she took them in from birth to school age. She loved and helped raise many children through the years. The way she showed her love to family, neighbors and friends was through her cooking. Best cook around!. Her home was always open, especially on Thanksgiving and Christmas to family, friends or anyone that needed a warm meal. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of fifty years, Jim Thomas; and two brothers, Bob and Jack Rayfield.

She is survived by her two children, Christie Thomas and Brian Thomas both of Noel, Missouri; a grandson, Joshua Newburn; and two great grandsons, Andrew and Lennon Newburn; as well as a host of other family and friends who loved her.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Services have been entrusted to the care of the Ozark Funeral Home in Anderson, Missouri.
