(From Ozark Funeral Home)Frankie Lee Lewis, 80, of Pineville, Missouri, left this earth peacefully on Saturday, July 1, 2023, in the comfort of his home.
Frankie was born March 22, 1943, in Jane Missouri, to the late Orval and Blanch (Akehurst) Lewis.
He married the love of his life Dettrey (Coble) “Dee-Dee” Lewis on November 18, 1966, in Bethpage, Missouri. They have spent the last 56 years together.
He worked for Daisy BB in Rogers, Arkansas, in the late 60’s and for the Bella Vista POA for thirty-eight years, retiring in 2009. He held various jobs in career with the POA, five years as superintendent of the Country Club Golf Course, he worked for the street department and golf course equipment maintenance until he retired. He set up and trained everyone on how to run a backhoe for everyone in Bella Vista that worked on any of the golf courses. He trained to mow greens even the bosses he worked for. Since his retirement, he has been known as the lawn mower repairman, working on everyone’s lawn mowers, weed eaters, chainsaws, hay equipment, tractors and trailers. He built and sold golf cart trailers and sold canoe trailers to several campgrounds around McDonald County.
He was preceded in death by his parents; seven siblings, John Henry Lewis, Carl Lewis, Lonnie Mark Lewis, Ray Lewis, Ted Lewis, Anna McCool and Carla Drew; a grandson, Tanner Almond; and great grandson Ryder Harmon.

Frankie is survived by his loving wife of fifty-six years, Dee-Dee Lewis of the home; three children, Curtis Lewis and his wife, Ro, of Wyandotte, Oklahoma, James Lewis and his wife, Verna, of Washburn, Missouri and Doris Talley and husband, Jerry, of Anderson, Missouri; sixteen grandchildren; twenty-seven great grandchildren; and one great-great granddaughter; two sisters, Ruth Drake of Twin Falls, Idaho and Irene Coddington and husband, Bill, of Ft. Sumner, New Mexico; as well as a host of other family and friends.
Funeral services are 10:00 am Saturday, July 8, 2023, in the Anderson Chapel of the Ozark Funeral Homes with Jerry Talley and Jim Armstrong officiating. Burial will follow at Jane Cemetery with his grandsons serving as pallbearers. Those gentleman serving as honorary pallbearers are Don Underwood, Brent Colville, Jerry Bonebrake, Geral Schlessman, Greg Dodson and Jerry Gardner. The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 5-7:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Memorials are being directed to the American Cancer Society c/o the funeral home.
