(From Paul Thomas Funeral Home)Jo Ann Molinar of Joplin, MO passed from this life Thursday, July 6, 2023 at her home. She was 83.
Jo Ann was born July 11, 1939 in Monarch, OK to George and Evelyn (Stuart) Hughes. She had lived in Joplin since 1977. She was a Registered Nurse working for many years at Freeman Hospital in Joplin, MO and was a member of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Joplin, MO.
Jo Ann was preceded in death by 1 son, Kevin McBee, her parents, 3 brothers, Ron Hughes, Billy Hughes, Donald Hughes and 3 sisters, Colleen McClain, Carol Jones and Janet Hughes.
Survivors include her husband Louis Molinar of the home, 1 son, Jay McBee and wife Julie of Joplin, MO, 1 stepson, John Molinar and wife Susan of Tulsa, OK, 2 stepdaughters, Michele Strickland and husband Flynn of Collinsville, OK and Melissa Barrett and husband Craig of Tulsa, OK, 1 sister, Kathy White of Joplin, MO, 10 grandchildren, Ashleigh McBee, Brittany McBee, Devin McBee, Alexandria Cross, Kylee Strickland, Sophia Strickland, Anthony Molinar, Alaina Molinar, Aven Molinar and Taylor Barrett and 8 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, July 10, 2023 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Joplin, MO. Bishop Keith Merckley will officiate. Interment will be in Osborn Cemetery in Joplin, MO. The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Paul Thomas Funeral Home Chapel in Miami, OK.
