Doris Berryhill

Doris J. Berryhill, 85, of Carl Junction, Mo. passed away Wednesday, September 20, 2023 at Freeman Hospital in Joplin, after a short illness. Doris was born July 20, 1938 in Joplin, Mo., the daughter of Victor and Goldie (Hotchkiss) Sowersby.

Doris was a lifetime area resident. She worked at Joplin Stockyards and was a Secretary for Hedge-Lewis Funeral Home in Webb City, Mo.

She is survived by two sons, Terry Hirshey and wife Terri of Carl Junction, Mo., and Gary Hirshey and wife Sue of Oronogo, Mo.; two daughters, Jeanie Wyrick and husband John of Joplin, Mo., and Sherrill Lynn Bayless and husband Jim of Lamar, Mo.; one brother, Bill Sowersby and wife Chico of Lowell, Ks. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, David Sowersby.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Mason-Woodard Mortuary & Crematory with a family held Celebration of Life October 1, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at 12385 Elm Road Carthage, Mo.
