Leona Selvey

Leona M. (Litle) Weimer-Selvey, of Lockwood, MO, passed away on Friday, September 15, 2023, in her home at the age of 87.

She was born on September 27, 1935 in Lockwood, MO to Troy and Itress (Shanks) Litle. Leona was one of nine children. In 1952, she married Daniel “Danny” Weimer and they had four children; Rick, Cheryl, Randal, and Deborah. Danny and Leona were married for 56 years when Danny passed away in 2009. Leona married William “Bill” Selvey in 2013, and he passed away in 2018.

Leona enjoyed crafting, quilting, and cake decorating. She was a devoted member of the Lockwood Christian Church, and the Missionary Guild.

Leona was preceded in death by her husbands, Danny Weimer and Bill Selvey; six siblings, Hubert Litle, Dale Litle, Leland Litle, Dorothy Page, Roberta Litle, and Sharon Bernauer; and one daughter and son-in-law, Cheryl and Lennis Queen.

She is survived by two sons, Rick Weimer and wife Janice, and Randy Weimer and wife Dixie; one daughter, Debbie Perkins and husband Randy; one brother, Larry Litle and wife Mae; one sister, Beverly Blackwell; twelve grandchildren, Josh Weimer, Jarid Weimer, Jenny Swaggerty, Becky Warta, Tara Carrier, Tana Foster, Daniel Queen, Justin Weimer, Jace Weimer, Cori van Engers, Kiley Perkins, and Tessa Venegas; twenty-nine great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 21, 2023, in Collins Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Lockwood Christian Church. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Lockwood Christian Church or to Collins Cemetery. Services are under the care of Lockwood Funeral Chapel.
