Lincoln Reynolds

(From Clark Funeral Home)

James ‘Lincoln’ Reynolds was born on August 3, 1954, in Neosho, Missouri, one of two children to Jimmie and Cretoria (Wiles) Reynolds. He entered into rest on September 12, 2023, in Joplin, Missouri, at the age of 69.

As a young child, the family relocated to Kansas City, Missouri, and he graduated from Southwest High School in Kansas City, Missouri. Following high school, he worked as a manager for Berbiglia Wine and Spirits.

In 1986, he returned to his beloved family farm and worked as a manager at Starbucks Coffee Company in Joplin before retiring and becoming a full-time cattle farmer. As a young man living in Kansas City, he looked forward to summer and coming to the farm.

Lincoln was a free spirit; he enjoyed motorcycles, boating, racing remote control boats, and was a collector of cars. He was of the Baptist faith.

Lincoln is survived by three nieces, Janet Thrasher of Hesston, Kansas, Kristy Soptick of Kansas City, Kansas, and Jamie Brann of Kansas City, Kansas; great-niece, Katie Thrasher; great-nephews, Philip James (PJ) Soptick, Jace Thrasher and Chance Brann and numerous friends. He is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Donna E. Hinkle.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 20, 2023, at 2:00 PM at the Clark Funeral Home Chapel of Memories; Pastor Doug Gripka will officiate.

Interment will follow in the Oakwood Cemetery, south of Neosho, and those serving as pallbearers will be Jason Thrasher, Thomas Brann, P. J. Soptick, Jace Thrasher, Chance Brann, and Rick Olbrey. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 PM until service time. Contributions in memory of Lincoln may be made to Faithful Friends.
