Ruth Churchwell

Ruth Jane Churchwell, 69, of Powell, Missouri, passed away on Friday, September 22, 2023 at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville, Arkansas.

She was born on February 3, 1954 in Stella, Missouri, born to the late, Kermit and Julia (Woodfill) Meador. She was an avid reader and enjoyed gardening.

Ruth is preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Clayton Meador, Brenda J. Meador, Rebecca Meador and Larry Jones; nieces and nephews, David and Becky Bratton, Ethan and Amanda Bratton.

She is survived by her children, Dea Rush (Johnny) of Lincoln, Arkansas, Lindsay Cohu of Powell, Missouri; siblings, Carrie Jones of Powell, Missouri, David Meador of Powell, Missouri, Brenda Sue Meador of Anderson, Missouri; five grandchildren, Holly (Cordell), Rylie, Ashlee, Kaylee and Lexi; great grandchildren, Samuel and Macie; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other family, friends and neighbors who will dearly miss Ruth.

Graveside Funeral Service for Ruth will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, September 26, 2023 at the Tracy Cemetery in Anderson, Missouri. Keith Lindquist will officiate. Tony Meador, Nathan Meador, David Meador, John Meador, Johnny Rush and Rylie Cohu will honor Ruth’s life by serving as a pallbearer. Honorary pallbearers will be Keith Lindquist and David Meador.
