(From Clark Funeral Home)William Thomas “Tom” Surratt, 73, of Carl Junction, MO, entered into rest on September 19, 2023 after a lengthy illness. Tom was born January 27, 1950 in Berryville, AR, the son of James and Barbara (Haase) Surratt.
He served his country during the Vietnam War in the U.S. Army. Though he had many different careers throughout his lifetime, his passion was in flying and being a pilot. In his spare time, Tom enjoyed playing golf, listening to music, playing his guitar, and spending time with his kids and grandkids.
Tom is survived by three children, a son, Jason Surratt; a daughter, Kelly Surratt and her significant other, Lincoln Brown; and a daughter, Kaitlin McLean. He is also survived by eight grandchildren: Jaida, A.J., Geoffrey, Rhiannon, Addisyn, Raelynn, Aria, and Zaedyn. One great-granddaughter, Leilani.
Additional survivors include six siblings, a sister Barbara Haworth; a sister, Tina Epps; a brother, Danny Surratt, and his wife, Marlys; a sister Cheryl Walker, and her husband, Dannie; a brother, James Surratt, and his wife, Dorothy; and a sister, Debbie Grant. Numerous nieces and nephews along with numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents and five siblings, Pam Baggerly; David Surratt; Doug Surratt; Michael Surratt; and Jeff Surratt.
