Roy Rufus Roberts, age 45, of Nevada, MO, passed away unexpectedly, Sunday, September 17, 2023. He was born June 28, 1978, in Nevada, MO to Emmitt Eugene and Karen Sue (Hand) Roberts. 

He had worked as a restaurant manager, loved cooking, music, playing video games, and drawing, but most of all, loved spending time with his family.

 

On August 8, 2015, he married Christina Kay Ash in Nevada, MO she survives of the home; he is also survived by his children, Destiny Spencer and her husband, Danyal of Nevada, MO, Ethan Roberts, Kansas City, MO, Harleigh Rapp, Nevada, MO, Logan Rapp, Lamar, MO, Delainey Rapp, Nevada, MO, Caden Roberts, El Dorado Springs, MO, Braxton Roberts, El Dorado Springs, MO and Cale Ash, Nevada, MO; his mother Karen Roberts and stepfather, David West, of Stockton, MO; a brother, Dallas Jack Roberts, Nevada, MO and his grandchildren, Joe Spencer, Reagan Spencer, and another one on the way.

Preceding him in death were his father, Emmitt Roberts; two brothers, Andrew James Roberts, and Robert Roberts.

The funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, September 22, 2023, at Ferry Funeral Home in Nevada with Pastor Chad Bailey officiating. Interment will follow in Moore Cemetery, Nevada. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday evening at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to help with the funeral expenses with the funeral home serving as custodian.
