John Tidwell

John P. Tidwell, Jr., age 69 of Pittsburg, Kansas, passed away at Via Christi Hospital in Pittsburg on Thursday, September 28, 2023 following a short illness. John was born on March 10, 1954 in Wellington, Delaware to the late John P. Tidwell, Sr. and Patricia (Lane) Tidwell.

John has lived most of his life in Grove, Oklahoma. If you needed a mechanic for your car or some body work done on your truck, John was your guy to go to. 

 He was a family man and he is leaving behind two daughters, Amanda Tallie and Victoria Kanup (Justin), both of Pittsburg; sons, David Tidwell and John P. Tidwell, III, of Pittsburg; a brother, David Tidwell of Joplin; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild; plus, a host of extended family and friends.

There are no services planned at this time and cremation arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary, Joplin, Missouri.
