Larry Larkin

George "Larry" Larkin of Joplin, MO passed away Tuesday September 12, 2023 following a brief illness.

He was born August 3rd, 1942 in Joplin, MO to George Larkin and Hester Eaton Larkin. Larry served as a seaman (E-3) in the United States Navy during Vietnam on the USS Haleakala. After an honorable discharge from the Navy, he worked as a welder for General Steel Fabrications and St. John's Hospital Joplin, MO. Larry was a devoted Christ follower, St. Louis Cardinals fan and Baltimore Ravens fan.

He is survived by a son Lonnie Larkin and wife Julie, two brothers; Ron Larkin and Steve Larkin as well as one sister Clara West, two grandchildren; Lindsey and Brady along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Services will be held Wednesday, September 20th, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at Mason-Woodard Mortuary in Joplin, MO. Followed by a graveside service at Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery. Dr. John Swadley, will officiate the services. The family will receive friends Tuesday September 19th, 2023 from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Mason-Woodard Mortuary.
