Carl Elbert

Carl Joseph Elbert, 71, Seneca, MO passed away January 13, 2024 at his home after an illness.

Carl Joseph Elbert was born July 12, 1952 in Joplin, MO the son of David Joseph and Imogene (Testerman) Elbert. He was a lifetime area resident. Carl was a 1971 graduate of Wyandotte High School following his graduation he entered the US Army where he served for two years. 








Carl loved riding motorcycles, aviation, traveling, fishing, rock hounding, four wheeling, rattle snake hunting, loved to tinker and was a collector of all things. He always lived life to the fullest. He was a man of all trades. He made sure to pass on his knowledge to anyone and everyone. He loved spending time with his family and friends. He had a wonderful sense of humor and enjoyed making others laugh. Carl retired from General Mills in Joplin, MO in 2016. He was of the Christian Faith.

Carl was preceded in death by David and Imogene; grandmothers, Lola Testerman and Mary Elbert; grandfathers, Frankie Testerman and Alvin Elbert; brother-in-law's Don Powell and John McBride; one niece Lori Miller; one nephew Michael Miller.

Carl Joseph Elbert married Wanda Lee Bowman September 8, 1983 in Miami, OK. and she survives.








Additional survivors include three daughters, Khrissy Snodgrass and husband Michael, Graham, WA, Jessica Kinslow and husband Aaron, Neosho, MO and Samantha Thompson and husband Chase, Seneca, MO; one son; Cody Elbert, Seneca, MO; siblings, Barbara Testerman, Jefferson City, MO, Galen Elbert, Grove, OK, Don Elbert, Wyandotte, OK, Kathy Powell, Springfield, MO, Mary Jane McBride, Bixby, OK, Paul Elbert and wife Michelle, Broken Arrow, OK and Janice Elbert, Denver, CO. 9 grandchildren, Savannah, Shawn, Isaac, Lacie, Caden, Emily, Logan, Zoe, and Isaiah; 4 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews extended family and friends.

The body has been taken for cremation under the direction of Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home, Seneca. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
