Michael Pim

Michael Wayne Pim, age 60, of Grove, Oklahoma, passed away on Friday, January 26, 2024 at his home.

Michael was born June 30, 1963 in Carthage, MO, the son of the late James Wilson Pim and Barbara Marie (Allen). He spent the past five years in Grove, OK, and was born and raised in Southwest Missouri. He enjoyed time at the lake and cheering on the Kansas City Chiefs with friends and the love of his life, Ramona.








He graduated from Joplin Memorial High School in 1981 and attended Crowder College majoring in Construction Technology. His fire career started at the young age of 14 with the Duenweg Volunteer Fire Department. In 1989, he began an 18-year career with the City of Neosho as an Engineer with the Neosho Fire Department and the last four years as the City Building & Fire Inspector. Over the course of his lifetime, he pursued opportunities at Frank Pim Backhoe Service, Cardinal Scale, K&S Sheet Metal, the City of Carl Junction, Joplin Construction Design & Management, and the City of Joplin from where he retired. He then enjoyed his retirement years and owned his own business, Michael’s Quality Home Inspections.

He is survived by a sister, Marcy Bell and husband Brad of Hendersonville, TN, half-brother Phillip Estes and wife Lori of Augusta, MO; son Jacob Pim and wife Dana of Neosho, MO; his companion Ramona Lannon of Neosho, MO; Maria Nenneman of Joplin, MO, who was like a daughter to him; grandchildren Emery and Jace Pim of Neosho, MO; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews; and a host of close friends.








A memorial service has been scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 10, 2024 at the Mason-Woodard Chapel. The family will receive friends during a time of visitation immediately following the service. The family will hold a private burial at Stone Cemetery in Diamond, MO.

Memorial contributions can be given to Second Chance Pet Rescue, Grove, OK., in care of the mortuary.
