Carol Snyder

Carol Alene Snyder, age 89, a beacon of love and kindness, passed away peacefully on January 19, 2024. Born on March 17, 1934, in Jasper, Missouri, to the late Roy E. Williams and Irene Clara (Pugh) Williams. 

She married Glen Wilkinson on June 26, 1954; he preceded her in death on May 8, 1978. She later married Russell Snyder on May 6, 1995; he preceded her in death on March 30, 2015. 

Carol worked as a Quality Control Specialist at Safeway Cheese, until her retirement. She was a member of Center Point Christian Church, Carthage, Missouri. She enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, flowers, quilting, but especially spending time with her grandchildren.

Carol's heart was always with her family. She is survived by her devoted children, Robert Wilkinson (Brenda) of Carthage, Janice Dill (Ted) of Granby, Missouri, and Cathy Chew (Clifford) of Joplin, Missouri. Her legacy continues to blossom through her grandchildren, Brittany Davis (Gary), Amanda Beck (Russell), Ailene Thompson, Abbey Long (Scott), Jerid Wilkinson (Lizzi), Taylor Wilkinson (Julia), and Jonathan Wolsey. The joy of her life was further multiplied by her fourteen great-grandchildren, who brought her immeasurable happiness.

She was also preceded in death by her son, Cris Wilkinson, and her brother Lester Williams.

Funeral services will be held at 10 am Wednesday January 24, 2024, at the Center Point Christian Church, Carthage, Missouri. Burial will follow in the Nashville Cemetery, Nashville, Missouri. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 pm Tuesday January 23, 2024, at Knell Mortuary, The family suggests contributions to the Center Point Christian Church and care of the Knell Mortuary, Online condolences may be expressed through www.knellmortuary.com.
