Ray Moore

C. Ray Moore, aged 86, passed away on January 27, 2024. Born to Clifford and Edna Moore on October 3, 1937, in Newton County, MO, Ray's life was a tapestry of cherished moments and meaningful friendships. 

A proud graduate of Neosho High School, Class of 1955, Ray dedicated a portion of his life in service to his country, serving in the National Guard from 1958 to 1964. His professional journey led him to Senior Engineering (TEI), where he served as a maintenance supervisor until his well-earned retirement in 1995. 

Ray then embraced his passion for cattle farming, finding joy and fulfillment in the nurturing of the land. A committed member of the community, Ray served as a delegate with MFA, leaving an indelible mark on the agricultural landscape. Fishing brought him moments of tranquility, and his love for the St. Louis Cardinals was unwavering. As a true John Deere enthusiast, Ray found joy in the simplicity of rural life. 

On March 1, 1958, Ray united in marriage with the love of his life, Patricia Roberts. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and shared dreams. Patricia survives him, along with their son Steven Moore and his wife Susan, grandson Sam Moore, and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends who will miss him dearly. 

Ray is preceded in death by his parents, two sisters; Delores Heckmaster and Diane Pendley, and a brother-in-law Richard Roberts.

Ray's journey is marked by the warmth of friendship, the bonds of family, and the enduring legacy of a life well-lived. As he joins the celestial stars, his memory will forever be a beacon of inspiration and love. Graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, February 1, 2024, at Neosho Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will invite friends to come for a visitation from 5:00 – 6:30 PM on Wednesday at Clark Funeral Home in Neosho.
