(From Bath-Naylor Funeral Home)Dale Lee Armstrong, 75, of Joplin, MO, died on January 11, 2024. He was born September 20, 1948, to Nelson Edward Armstrong and Vella Dee McCreery Armstrong in Florence, KS.
He was a graduate of Columbus High School, class of 1966. On August 20, 1967, Dale married Teresa Parise in Columbus, Kansas.
As his father and two brothers were employed in bridge construction, Dale devoted numerous years to Maxwell Bridge Construction Company of Columbus, KS before transitioning into the role of a committed chemical worker at Jayhawk Fine Chemicals Corp., where he forged lasting friendships.
Dale was an avid fisherman, a coin collector, and a skilled craftsman who devoted time to remodeling and building homes for his family alongside his sons.
Currently, he was immersed in the restoration of a 1959 Chevy Truck, showcasing his love for hands-on projects.
He is survived by his loving wife, Teresa Armstrong, two sons, Chad Armstrong and Brad Armstrong, both residing in Joplin, MO, two grandsons, Blade Davis and Cullen Armstrong, as well as great-grandchildren Korynn and Kennedy Davis.
Dale also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews. Dale was preceded in death by his parents and seven siblings—Kenneth, Carole, Linda, Larry, Donny, Lana, and Dave.
A memorial service will be held at 1 pm, Thursday, January 25, 2024 at the Bath-Naylor Funeral Home in Columbus.
A private inurnment will follow at St. Bridget’s Cemetery in Scammon, KS.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to American Cancer Society and the American Heart Association.
