(From Knell Mortuary)Dora Sue (Wilson) Temple Desrosiers, 83, Carthage, Missouri, passed away early Saturday morning, January 27, 2024, at Sunnyhills Residential Care Facility, Carthage, Missouri.
Dora was born July 3, 1940, in Oxford, Ohio, the daughter of the late Seth Wilson and Anna (Friend) Wilson. She was a 1958 graduate of Joplin High School, and later attended Ozark Christian College.
Dora married Richard Temple, and to this union, four children were born; they later divorced. She then married George Desrosiers; they also later divorced.
Family meant everything to Dora, and she took great pride in taking care of and raising her family. She then went to work for the superintendent’s office for the school district in Bakersfield, California, where she eventually retired. She then moved back to Joplin where she could be close to her parents and help take care of them and other family members. She was a member of the Mt. Hope Church of Christ in Webb City, Missouri. Dora loved handywork, especially crocheting many ornate towels and hot pads for her blessed friends and family. She was a giver and enjoyed helping her friends and family any way she could.
Survivors include four children, Annette Temple, Brenda Adams (James), Rick Temple, and Ginger Malone (Mike); four grandchildren, Michelle McCoy (Jonathon), Michael “Mike” Adams, Kalob Coleman-Temple, and Robert Temple; four great-grandchildren, Olivia McCoy, Daphne Lyons-Adams, Audrey Lyons, and Bailey Temple; eight brothers and sisters, Rebecca Souder, Ben Wilson, Lois Miller (Gaylord), Leta Wilson, Judy Sullens, Jonathon Wilson, Tim Wilson, and Joy Hill (Jay); a sister-in-law, Connie Jo Wilson; many dear friends at Mt. Hope Church of Christ; and many other extended family and friends.

Hope Church of Christ; and many other extended family and friends.
She was also preceded in death by a stillborn son, Stephen Richard Temple; a brother, Carl Wilson; a brother-in-law, Gordon Souder; and a sister-in-law, Sandra Wilson.
Memorial services will be held 1 pm, Saturday, February 17, 2024, at Mt. Hope Church of Christ, Webb City, Missouri. Online condolences may be expressed through www.knellmortuary.com.
